Consistency, mostly. Premium SW exterior acrylics behave predictably across the surfaces we paint — fiber cement, engineered wood, cedar, and trim — with the flexibility and breathability a freeze-thaw, always-damp climate demands. Local store support matters too: color matching, batch consistency, and product availability the same week we need it, in every county we serve.
Tier-wise, we spec the premium exterior lines for topcoats and match primers to the substrate — bare wood, patched areas, and factory-primed boards each want different chemistry. Cheaping out on the primer under a premium topcoat is the industry's favorite invisible shortcut; it's not one we take.
No coating outperforms its prep. Our exterior painting process starts with washing, scraping, caulking, and repairing what's failing underneath — including the rot repairs a paint-only outfit would brush over. Then the SW system goes on at proper spread rates, in weather it can actually cure in.
