Western Washington is a wind-driven-rain state. Siding and windows here don't just face weather — they face water pushed sideways at the wall for months at a time, which is why flashing details, housewrap laps, and penetration sealing matter more in this region than almost anywhere else. That's the work we've built the company around.
We're a local crew serving five northwest counties, not a franchise running the same playbook in thirty states. That means PNW-specific installation practice without franchise-inflated pricing, bids written specifically for your home with minimal boilerplate, and permits pulled and inspections passed in the same municipalities year after year — we know the local inspectors, and they know our work.
Siding & Window Vault started in Whatcom County, working out of our Ferndale office. As projects took us further south through Skagit, Island, San Juan, and Snohomish counties, we made a decision most contractors don't: we bought a commercial building in Anacortes outright — not leased, owned.
We're renovating it into a full showroom right now — the complete exterior and interior remodel is our own portfolio piece. When it opens, you'll be able to handle real product samples, meet us in person, and judge our workmanship by walking through it.
A contractor who owns its building isn't going anywhere. No fly-by-night crew buys real estate in the community it serves — we're here for the decades your siding is warrantied for, not just the season.
About the Showroom →Every credential below is registered with the manufacturer or the state — ask for the paperwork at your estimate and we'll hand it over.
The top tier of James Hardie's contractor alliance program — held by installing to Hardie's specifications and keeping the training current, verified by the manufacturer itself.
State certification for lead-safe work practices — required by law when renovating homes built before 1978, which covers a lot of the housing stock we replace siding on.
Registered Washington contractor, bonded, and carrying general liability coverage. Look us up on the state's contractor registry — the license number is on every page of this site.
We render your actual home in 3-D with the products and colors you're considering — so you approve the look before anything is ordered.
We know the local James Hardie and window-brand reps personally and meet with them regularly — so we stay current on industry changes, product updates, and upcoming technologies faster than most contractors. Our Hardie work has been featured on James Hardie's own social media channels many times, and our Hover® 3D partnership means you can see products rendered on your actual house before anything is ordered.
