The short version: we collect what you give us to quote and complete your project, we never sell it or hand it to lead-resellers, and — like most businesses that advertise — we use Google and Meta tools to measure our marketing. You can opt out of those; the details follow.
This Privacy Policy describes how Siding Vault LLC, doing business as Siding & Window Vault ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and protects personal information through our website, sidingwindowvault.com, and when you contact us by phone, text, or email. We are a Washington State home-improvement contractor (License #SIDINV*787PJ) with offices in Ferndale and Anacortes, Washington. Your use of this website is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.
Information you give us directly: when you request an estimate or contact us, we collect what you submit — typically your name, phone number, email address, project address, and details about the work you want done. The same applies when you call, text, or email us.
Visit context collected in your browser: when you first arrive at our site, a small script records how you found us — the referring website, the page you landed on, standard campaign tags from the link you clicked (such as utm_source), and the date of your first visit. This information is stored in your own browser (localStorage), not on our servers, and reaches us only if you submit an estimate form, so we can know which advertising brought you in. It contains no personal details and is not shared with advertising platforms.
Technical and device information: like nearly every website, our hosting provider records basic server logs (such as IP address, pages requested, and browser type) for security and troubleshooting. The analytics and advertising tools described in section 3 also collect technical information — including IP address, device and browser type, approximate location inferred from IP address, pages viewed, time on site, referring URL, and the actions you take on the site.
Information stored in our systems: when you contact us or submit a request, our customer-management system (CRM) creates a record of your inquiry and our communications with you. That record may include the IP address associated with your submission, which we retain as part of the lead record and to help identify fraudulent or automated submissions.
We use, or may use, cookies and similar technologies to understand how people find and use our site and to measure our advertising. Specifically, this site uses or may use: Google Analytics 4 (website traffic measurement and reporting), Google Tag Manager (a container that loads the tools listed here), Google Ads (advertising conversion measurement and remarketing audiences), Google Local Services Ads (Google-verified local ads, where Google passes us the lead details of customers who contact us through that ad format), and the Meta Pixel and related Meta business tools (measuring and targeting our advertising on Facebook and Instagram). We may add or remove comparable tools over time; when we do, we will update this policy.
These technologies may collect your IP address, device and browser information, approximate location, the pages you view, how long you stay, the site or ad that referred you, and the actions you take — such as submitting an estimate request or clicking a phone number. Google and Meta process this information under their own privacy policies and may combine it with data they already hold about you from other sites, apps, and services — including to show you our ads elsewhere on the web, on Facebook, and on Instagram (remarketing).
Your opt-out options: these tools load when you visit the site. If you prefer not to be included, you can control or block cookies through your browser settings; install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Analytics from collecting your visits; manage or turn off personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings; and control how Meta uses your activity through the Ad Preferences and Off-Facebook Activity controls in your Facebook or Instagram account settings. Blocking these technologies does not affect your ability to browse the site or contact us. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of ad-related sharing.
Security tools are different from advertising tools: spam- and bot-prevention services protecting our estimate forms (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) are a security control, operate regardless of your advertising choices, and do not track you across other websites.
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, schedule and prepare estimates, provide and document our services, verify project addresses through public records (part of how we pre-qualify requests), understand which marketing brings us customers, and comply with legal and licensing obligations.
When you submit an estimate request, you agree that we may call, text, or email you about your project. We contact you about your project — we do not enroll you in marketing lists.
By providing your phone number in an estimate request, or by texting us first, you consent to receive text messages from us about your inquiry and project — for example, scheduling, estimate follow-ups, and project updates. Message frequency varies with your project. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier.
Opt out any time: reply STOP to any message from us and we will stop texting you (you may receive one confirmation message). Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly at the phone number or email below. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service — if you prefer calls or email only, just say so.
Your SMS consent and phone number are never shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text-message consent is used solely by us to communicate with you directly.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never hand your contact details to list-brokers, lead resellers, or anyone who would market their own products to you. No robocalls, no exceptions. The name, phone number, email, and project details you give us go to our team to quote and complete your work.
We share information with service providers that make the website and our business work: our form-delivery service (which routes your estimate request to our team), our website hosting provider, spam-prevention services protecting our forms, our customer-management system (CRM), and — only if you pursue financing — the financing provider you choose to apply with. These providers handle your information under contractual obligations and only for the purposes we engage them for.
Law enforcement and legal process: we may disclose information to law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or other government bodies when required by law — for example in response to a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process — and where necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of our customers, crews, or others.
If our business is ever sold, merged, or reorganized, customer records — including the information described in this policy — may transfer to the successor as part of that transaction, under the same commitments made here.
Advertising and analytics platforms: as described in section 3, the Google and Meta technologies on this site send those companies information about your visit, and they may use it for their own advertising purposes. Some privacy laws classify that kind of cookie-based ad activity as "sharing" or even "selling," even though no money changes hands and we never provide your contact details for it. You can opt out using the browser and account controls in section 3, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal.
We keep customer and inquiry records as long as needed for the purposes above and for the record-keeping, warranty, licensing, and tax periods Washington law expects of licensed contractors; after that, records are deleted or de-identified. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and our website is served exclusively over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (subject to records we are legally required to keep). Contact us at office@sidingwindowvault.com or (360) 296-9380 and we will respond promptly. To protect you, we may verify your identity before fulfilling a request that involves accessing or deleting records. You can also clear the attribution data described above at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Our website and services are directed at homeowners and property managers, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Our site links to third-party websites — review platforms, manufacturer sites, financing providers, and our social profiles. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy does not cover them, and we encourage you to review theirs.
Our website and services are intended for people in the United States — realistically, in Northwest Washington. If you visit from outside the U.S., understand that any information you submit is processed and stored in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from your country's; by using the site you consent to that.
If our data practices change — for example, if we add or replace a marketing or analytics tool — we will update this policy and revise the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. Continued use of the site after an update means the current version applies.
