COUNTY KNOWLEDGE

Exteriors in the County We Know Best

Skagit runs from salt water to the Cascades, and the exterior problems track the terrain: marine exposure in Anacortes, La Conner, and Samish Island; open delta wind across Mount Vernon, Burlington, and Conway farm flats; and shade-fed moss up the valley toward Sedro-Woolley and Concrete. The December 2025 flooding on the Skagit River — a record crest at Mount Vernon — added a familiar chapter: lowland walls that took water need drying and honest rebuilds, not paint.

Permits split by address: Anacortes, Burlington, Mount Vernon, and Sedro-Woolley issue their own, the Town of Concrete runs its own building department, La Conner pairs town land-use review with county plan review, and unincorporated communities — Bow, Alger, Conway, Samish Island — run through Skagit County Planning & Development Services in Mount Vernon. We've pulled permits and passed inspections across Skagit County, on both sides of that line.

And because our own building is here — the full remodel our team ran at 911 29th Street in Anacortes, inside and out — Skagit homeowners will soon be able to do what almost no contractor's customers can: walk through our workmanship before hiring us, the day the showroom opens.
